SOURCING IN VIETNAM BASED FURNISHINGS AND MANUFACTURERS(ING)
Based on recent U.S. Department of Commerce figures, Vietnam is second only to China as an Asian wood furniture source in U.S. imports, a 23.5 percentage change. Vietnam is continuing to play a more prominent role as a furniture and component supplier to the U.S., this will soon be true in industrial sourcing, as well.
In 2016, and beyond, with a reasonable focused volume, you can compete with the majors in furniture diversification in the states, as everyone showing in the states, is basically a import buyer in the Asian markets, now. We are here to work with you as your own import buyer, first as a consultant, and then as a sourcing/buying agent in Vietnam, to find OEM, open items and private label products for you!
VIETNAM SOURCING GOT UNDERWAY IN 2001; AND IT IS STILL HERE IN 2016!
FOR EXAMPLE: The Northern Area of Vietnam, the Hanoi Region, is known for traditional curved, hardwood furniture, art objects and handicrafts, the Central Area of Vietnam, the Danang, Highlands and Binh Dinh Region, is known for casual and hardwood furniture and art objects, while the Southern Area of Vietnam, the HCMC Region, is the current powerhouse of diversified furnishings manufacturing and sourcing.
In addition to apparel, shoes, rubber, seafood and many other industrial goods, Vietnam is a powerhouse in furnishings, and is an alternative to its neighboring China. Vietnam's furnishings exports to the U.S. have increased dramatically.
The United States is now Vietnam's number one trading partner with bilateral trade more than tripling since the December 2001 US-VIETNAM BILATERAL TRADE AGREEMENT (BTA). Furnishing and related items now a major growing component of the trading between the Vietnam and the U.S. Vietnam furnishings manufacturing is a mixture of state, private and foreign enterprises. The Vietnamese enterprises are re-industrializing to meet the requirements of buyers. Vietnam can compete as a principal place in East Asia for diversified furnishings industry and other industries. Vietnam furnishings, which encompasses home, office and contract furniture, furnishings and accessories, wood, metal and plastic furniture manufacturing, handicraft and related industries, are found across the three main regions of Vietnam: North, Central and South.
Since 2001, EXSERO has carried out sourcing actions in Vietnam. EXSERO has provided manufacturer's representative services in the Americas for a number of Vietnamese factories in furnishings and industrial goods. EXSERO exhibited Vietnam furnishings products and its sourcing services five (5) times at the WORLD MARKET CENTER, LAS VEGAS MARKET.
Vietnam attained WTO, World Trade Orgnaization, membership, January 11, 2007. Also, with the granting of Permenant Normal Trade Relations (PNTR), December 2006, for Vietnam and strongly following the signing of the U.S.-Vietnam Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA 2001), December 10, 2001; U.S. import demand is now increasing very sharply, in for example furniture and garments, with a related increase in U.S. exports to Vietnam. The WTO and U.S.-Vietnam PNTR and BTA promote and provide a mutual new key strategic trade and investment situation within an important Asian location and market. VIETNAM is the 2nd most populous country in the Southeast Asia region, 2nd only to Indonesia, with approximately 86 million people. The HCMC urban cluster and associated provinces in southern Vietnam will approach 20 million persons by 2015. Vietnam is a relationship based society. Vietnam business activity is very locally based. There are state owned and private sector companies across all industries. Zeroing in, Vietnam needs an engineering upgrade, so a talented younger population is in part deployed in handicraft, wooden, agricultural, technological and other personal skills manufacturers, while it joins the Asian infrastructure and consumer enhanced economy. Vietnam local and international investment activity is also markedly increasing.
