Special Report: Asian Connections By Thomas Russell --- Furniture Today, 5/7/2007
Focus on occasional furniture in Vietnam (EXTRACT): That includes Jeff Dilley, president and CEO of Exsero Ltd., a firm that provides consulting and support for furniture companies looking to source in Vietnam. Having seen Vietnam's rise in outdoor and bedroom furniture, he views occasional as the next level of opportunity fro both manufacturers and importers. And given Vietnam's low labor costs and its experience in the handicraft industry, he sees it being able to handle both the medium and high end. "Moving into home accents, both in home furnishings and home decor, is where Vietnam has strength as a source," he said. "Vietnam has a strong background in handicrafts and people are going there for new , eclectic things."

At The Market (LAS VEGAS JULY 2006)? Sourcing consultant EXSERO LIMITED is showing a group of Vietnamese-made occasional and casual furniture at the market here this week (EXTRACT).
Jeff Dilley, Exsero's managing principal, said the mix of products here demonstrates the diversity of Vietnamese manufacturing capabilities. He believes the new group will resonate with retailers, wholesalers and big-box stores looking to source product from Vietnam."I am representing the essence of what Vietnam can produce at this point," Dilley said, noting that Vietnamese manufacturers have a strong heritage in handicrafts that is illustrated in the Entrevina collection. "I am taking that capability and putting it in factories that have some production capacity." Dilley, who has run Exsero from Vietnam since 1994, said he likely will tap into other Vietnamese factories for additional product lines in the future.
